Briab and Tribia enter into a partnership to fireproof the construction industry and take the next step in its digitalisation.

The partnership is about integration between the products Bimfire Share och Bimeye. The purpose is to enable and improve the work with fire protection in digital workflows to create added value and new opportunities for builders, contractors, project managers and architects. The interconnection ensures that the requested information chain of digital key data for fire protection in unbroken form follows throughout the construction's entire life cycle.

The problem with the fire safety work that is going on in today's construction and infrastructure projects is that it is not an integral part of the digital workflow. Tribia and Briab have taken note of this need and want to change it through a partnership. Through the partnership, Tribia contributes cutting-edge expertise in digital support for efficient information management in construction projects, and Briab contributes market-leading expertise in fire safety work and digital fire protection solutions.

Clients demand better and streamlined processes

Today, more than 200 countries have mandatory requirements for fire safety when constructing different types of buildings. Despite this, serious accidents occur such as the fire in Grenfell Tower in London in 2017, where 71 people died and lack of information chains in the operation of the building has been pointed out as one of the major underlying problem areas.

Without a change and integration of fire safety work in the digital workflow, it will be difficult to achieve the “Golden Thread of information” goal that has been demanded in Gren UK after Grenfell Tower.

Partnership for efficient data exchange and refinement in the BIM process

The Bimfire Software business unit will take the fire protection sector into the future. With the fire engineer's expertise in combination with the BIM strategist's knowledge, software solutions are developed that enable digital fire protection management. Our ambition is to create conditions for builders and contractors to communicate and keep critical fire protection information in sync during design, execution and further throughout the entire life cycle. With our cloud-based platform Bimfire Share, we can provide fire protection expertise in digital work processes, says Johan Norén, Business Manager, Bimfire Software.

The collaboration with Tribia and the integration with Bimeye means that together with joint efforts we can continue the digitalisation of the construction industry, Johan Norén continues.

The digitalisation of the construction industry is accelerating and Tribia's ambition to deliver a BIM collaboration solution where projects collect, quality assure and communicate building information in a cohesive solution through all phases of the project, has resulted in increased interest in our support for "improving digitized project implementations". says Steinar Svinø, CEO, Tribia.

The partnership with Briab, which is one of the most driving companies in the construction industry in terms of digitizing its work processes, as well as integrations with specialized cloud services such as Bimfire Share, is completely in line with how we want to assist the construction industry in being digitized in an integrated way. Together, we will be well positioned to help the construction industry to the "next level" when it comes to fire safety work in construction and infrastructure projects, Steinar Svinø concludes.
